A town close to the Zimbabwean border with the main focus being the rail road the town of Chimoio has a long history. Starting with Arab settlers and then the Portuguese settlers that made the town a bustling metropolis filled with hotels and tourist attractions. During the civil war most of these historical buildings were lost however there are still a few buildings left as well as a mural that depicts the struggles the country faced during the settling years.
